With respect to all the library members we ask:
It is understood that there are extenuating circumstances at times such as an illness, disability or grievance that may affect a book return. Please contact the library coordinator if this applies to you as she may be able to help. However if after 5 months you have not read the book (but still wish to) it is hoped that you would buy the book for yourself but you must return BBC book so other get the opportunity to read it. The books do belong to all our members and are an asset of the entire community.
If books are not returned after a 5 month period they are deemed to be lost and must be replaced with a new copy or a donation give that will cover the full replacement cost. An account will be sent to you for the replacement cost. The new book or the donation can be placed in the book returns box with a covering note for the librarian.
This Library runs on a very limited budget and many members have made significant book donations to the library in good faith that others can read them. In honour of these people and the generosity it is appropriate to keep the books available to everyone.
